Peptide arrays are well suited to epitope mapping and
assessment of immune responses in biological fluids. Company’s method of
epitope mapping is based on non-covalent immobilisation of 12-15 amino acid
peptide libraries on a proprietary support. No modification of peptides to be
immobilized is required. Therefore, the method is less expensive as compared to
all known approaches to study arrayed peptide interactions with antibodies. Low
material consumption, high sensitivity and parallel probing to many antibody or
serum samples.
ProtNeteomix
develops phage displayed peptide arrays. Selected epitopes
and mimotopes can be used to evaluate the immune response in sera of
patients.
This high-troughput and multiplexed array approach has advantages over
conventional immunoassays (Arnaud et al. 2004, Proteomics 4: 1959-1964;
Sakanyan, 2004, Antibiotics 6: 185-192).
